Freelance Video Editor (Talking-Head Reels) — Role Overview
About the Role
Personal branding is built on camera. Every woman we work with needs to show up and share her expertise in her own words, and so do we. That makes talking-head reels one of the most important things we create.
We're looking for a freelance video editor to own them. We film the content ourselves, set the creative direction for every account, and give you a social guidelines framework for each client. Your job is to turn each recording into a reel that's clear, engaging and unmistakably on-brand.
This is an execution role. The creative direction is set before the footage reaches you, so your focus is listening to the brief, editing with care, and getting better and quicker with every batch. Ideas of your own are always welcome.
We edit for clarity and connection, not just views. Our clients measure success in clients, bookings and opportunities, so every edit should help her message land. Trends are used with intention: when one fits a client's account, we'll plan it in and brief it to you.
About Vibras Creative Studio: we're a London-based personal branding agency, founded in 2020, building personal brands for women in business who've already built something real. Strategy, creative direction and full execution all happen under one roof, and our look is chic, clean and sophisticated.
The Details
You'll edit talking-head reels primarily for our client accounts, and for our own: Vibras Creative Studio and Emily's personal page. Every account has its own social guidelines, created by Alice and Emily, for you to follow. We usually record a talking-head video in one go, and your edit is what makes it engaging. Across all accounts, the more cinematic, aesthetic reels stay with Alice.
Editing talking-head reels (the core of the role)
Edit talking-head reels from footage our team has filmed on iPhone, DJI and sometimes a professional camera
Bring each video to life with on-screen text, subtitles, B-roll and cover images
Cut one recording into several reels where it makes sense
Clean up and enhance audio, and choose music with guidance from us, including a quiet trending sound in the background where it adds something
Apply light colour grading that keeps everything chic and clean
Follow each account's social guidelines: the visual aesthetic, the accounts we're inspired by and the fonts to use
Build in trends when we've planned and briefed them for a specific account
Shoot days (occasional)
Join shoots as a second shooter alongside Alice, starting by shadowing and growing into our go-to second shooter.
What Good Looks Like
A baseline of at least five finished reels per editing day. Most days that will be five to eight, depending on length. A short B-roll reel with a hook might take ten minutes; a longer talking-head edit takes more.
Getting quicker without the standard slipping. As you learn each account, edits should need fewer revisions.
Staying ahead of schedule. We deliver client content two weeks in advance, so reliable turnaround matters.
What this role isn't
It isn't client-facing, and it doesn't include scheduling.
The focus is talking-head reels. Our more cinematic, lifestyle-led videos are led by Alice as part of each client's creative direction.
About You
You're an experienced short-form video editor, and talking-head reels are your strength.
You have an eye for clean, elevated editing. You know when less is more, and your text, subtitles and transitions support the message rather than compete with it.
You're comfortable working within someone else's creative direction. You listen to the brief, take feedback well and apply it next time.
You're fast, consistent and reliable with deadlines, and you enjoy getting quicker at your craft.
You're confident in Edits and CapCut. Experience shooting on iPhone or DJI is a bonus.
You're based in or can easily travel to London for occasional shoot days.
A portfolio of talking-head reels aligned with our style is essential.
